Next-Gen Satellite Technology

Capella's high-performance SAR satellites and advanced sensor technologies leverage modern innovations to deliver SAR data faster than ever. With a secure, automated, tasking and delivery system, customers can receive precise signals intelligence in just a couple of hours for reliable insights when they are needed most.

Building for the Future

Capella Space delivers actionable Earth observation data to solve your most pressing challenges. Our in-house designed, built, and operated SAR satellite constellation provides 24/7/365 global insights to meet your mission-critical needs. Built from the ground up with cutting-edge technologies, our satellites are supported by an automated pipeline that enables you to task, collect, process, and receive data within hours—not days—empowering faster, more informed decisions across the planet.

High Satellite Revisit

Our focus on sun-synchronous (SSO) and mid-inclination (MIO) orbits enables global coverage with up to 3x capture capacity and diverse imaging times.

Leading Imaging Capacity

Our extended duty cycle delivers up to 10 minutes of imaging per orbit—enabling up to 5x the collection capacity of other SAR providers.

Rapid Tasking and Uplink

We use Inmarsat’s Inter-Satellite Data Relay System (IDRS) to ensure low-latency communications, enabling users to Task in under 15 minutes.

Reduced Latency Communications

We're the first commercial SAR provider to demonstrate Optical Inter-Satellite Links (OISL), compatible with U.S. Space Force and SDA-compliant transport layers.

Flexible Cloud Integration

Once ready for processing, data is decrypted within AWS GovCloud or within a customer’s cloud environment, ensuring flexibility and security for operational needs.

Our Commitment to Excellence

Capella Space is committed to protecting our customer’s data and is working toward demonstrating our cybersecurity maturity by obtaining the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2, authorizing Capella Space to process US Government Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).

What is CMMC?

CMMC is a Department of Defense assessment framework and assessor certification program aimed at validating a contractor’s compliance with the 110 security controls identified in the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-171. NIST 800-171 evaluates an organization’s maturity in managing their cybersecurity program to ensure sufficient controls are in place to protect Federal Contract Information (FCI) and CUI.
